PHILADELPHIA - In today's game against Akron, Temple football will wear a Flight 93 sticker on the back of its helmets to honor the victims from September, 11, 2001 in which 40 passengers and crew lost their lives from Flight 93 that was hijacked and crashed in Shanksville, Pa.
Earlier this year in August, the Temple football team visited the 9/11 Memorial & Museum in an effort to learn more about that fateful day.
"It certainly evoked way more emotions than I thought it would ever evoke," head coach Rod Carey said last month.
