PHILADELPHIA – On Monday, November 12, the Temple Owls Football Team, in concert with the American Red Cross, will host a blood drive. The event will take place at Edberg-Olson Hall (1001 W. Diamond Street, Philadelphia) from 11:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m.
The inspiration for the drive is Kane Ivers-Osthus, known as "El Diablo" to members of the team. Ivers-Osthus was diagnosed with leukemia earlier this year. The 24-year old equipment manager was ill through summer training camp and was forced to go to the Temple University Hospital emergency room on August 31, the eve of Temple's season opener vs.
