HOUSTON- In front of 30,862 at TDECU Stadium in the Lone Star State, the Temple Owls beat the Houston Cougars 59-49 in the cross-divisional matchup that featured a lot of scoring. The Owls are now 6-4 and 4-1 in the American Athletic Conference and are officially bowl eligible for the fifth consecutive year.
Temple got out to a quick lead and never trailed in the contest. RB Ryquell Armstead had a career game, rushing 30 times for 210 yards and a career high six touchdowns. Armstead has run for four or more touchdowns twice this season, the first Owl to accomplish this feat.
