SHREVEPORT, La. - In front of 27,492 fans at Independence Stadium the Temple Owls fell to the Duke Blue Devils 56-27 in the 43rd Independence Bowl and finish the season 8-5.
Temple and Duke traded scores throughout the first half. Making it the highest combined scoring first half in Temple bowl history. The Owls couldn't get much going in the second half and couldn't keep the Blue Devils out of the endzone, resulting in a lopsided victory for the Blue Devils.
