PHILADELPHIA- In front of 26,029 fans at Lincoln Financial Field, the Temple Owls started off the 2019 season hot with a dominant 56-12 win over the Bucknell Bison. The Owls broke the single-season record for yards in a game with 695 total yards on offense and didn't allow a touchdown on defense. It is the largest opening day margin of victory (44 points) since 1969 at Rhode Island when the Owls beat the Rams 47-3.
