FAIRFIELD, Conn. - The Temple field hockey team defeated Fairfield 1-0 in double overtime Sunday afternoon to improve to 4-1 on the season. With the win, the Owls are off to their best start since 2014.

> Neither team could get anything going offensively in the first quarter, with Julianne Kopec firing the lone shot on a penalty corner attempt.
> Temple would fire two shots in the second quarter, both on corners, but the Fairfield defense blocked both attempts.
> The Cherry and White offense fired eight shots in the second half, but Zoe Rosen made six saves to keep the score even through regulation.
