PHILADELPHIA - The BIG EAST opener ended in heartbreak for Temple field hockey as the Owls (1-6, 0-1) lost 2-2 in a hard-fought game against Providence (5-5, 1-1) in double overtime. Less than four minutes remained of a possible 20 in extra time when the Friars' Allyson Parker scored on a corner opportunity.
