PHILADELPHIA - The No. 5 Temple fencing team earned its highest ranking in program history, as announced by College Fencing 360.
Temple was ranked No. 7 in the first ranking release of the season, defeating three Top-10 teams including then-No. 1 Notre Dame at the Philadelphia Invitational. The Owls are 19-6 in dual competition this season, with two more dual meets on their slate before heading into the post-season.
A consistently Top-10 team, Temple's previous highest ranking came in 2017 when the squad came in a No. 6.
The Owls will be back in action this weekend at the Duke Invitational, the first of the final two dual meets of the season.
