PHILADELPHIA – Fran Dunphy, who coached Temple to a 23-10 record and its eighth NCAA Tournament appearance in his 13-year tenure, has been named the Philadelphia Big 5 Coach of the Year. It is the fifth time Dunphy, who stepped down as the Owls' coach following the season, has earned the honor while at Temple. He will also be inducted into the Big 5 Hall of Fame at the Awards Banquet being held at the Palestra on April 15.
Sophomores Nate Pierre-Louis and De'Vondre Perry also garnered major awards from the Philadelphia Big 5.
