INDIANAPOLIS – Dr. Stephany Coakley, the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Mental Health, Wellness and Performance at Temple University, has been selected to moderate an in-depth panel on Coping with Pandemics: The Effects of Racism and COVID-19 on Student Athlete Mental Health on Thursday, Jan. 20 at the annual NCAA Convention.
This panel will provide attendees with the latest data on the impact of COVID-19 and racism on the mental well-being of student-athletes of color. It will include a discussion, moderated by Coakley on how to support student-athlete advocacy and mental well-being during this unique and complicated time.
