PHILADELPHIA — Temple women's basketball senior Mia Davis has been named an All-American for the second-straight season. The forward earned the honorable mention recognition by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association, as announced by the organization Friday afternoon.
Davis is just the fifth All-American in Temple women's basketball history and the second player to earn All-American status twice in her career as she also earned the honorable mention recognition by USBWA last season. Former Temple standout and current WNBA All-Star Candice Dupree earned both honorable mention (2005) and Third Team All-American (2006) by the Associated Press during her time on Broad Street.
