PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple women's basketball team grabbed a pair of weekly nods from the American Athletic Conference. The Owls' Mia Davis was named Freshman of the Week, while Tanaya Atkinson earned an honor roll spot.
DAVIS DEBUTS
> In her first offical collegiate game, Mia Davis racked up a double-double.
> The forward finished her night with 21 points and 17 rebounds, adding one assist and one steal.
> Davis was 8-for-14 from the field in the victory.
ATKINSON DOUBLES UP
> Senior Tanaya Atkinson recorded a double-double to open the 2017-18 with a win for the Owls.
