PHILADELPHIA – Temple women's basketball junior Mia Davis became just the fifth Owl's women's basketball player to be named an All-American. The forward earned honorable mention recognition from the U.S. Basketball Writers Association, as announced by the organization Monday.
Davis joins Marilyn Stephens (First Team, 1984), Candice Dupree (honorable mention, 2005; Third Team, 2006), Kamesha Hairston (honorable mention, 2007) and Feyonda Fitzgerald (honorable mention, 2017) as the only five players in program history to earn national recognition.
Davis concluded her third season on Broad Street as a Cheryl Miller Award Top 10 Finalist and a First Team All-American Athletic Conference honoree.
