GILBERT, Ariz. - For a second straight year, Dani Batze has been named a Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division I Scholar of Distinction. The sophomore is one of 140 student-athletes to earn the honor.
The Division I Scholars of Distinction program recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2018-19 academic year.
Batze, an advertising major with a 3.94 GPA, started in all 18 games for the Owls this past season. With seven defensive saves, she ranked third among all players in NCAA Division I.
