The Leon, Spain native has won every cross country race she’s run as an Owl this season, with her fourth and most recent victory being at the Princeton Invitational Saturday.
Fernandez finished first out of the 206 competitor field with a time of 20 minutes, 58 seconds. Her performance also helped the Owls finish in 14th place out of 24 teams at the Invitational.
“I think she can be all-American,” Snyder said. “She’s really in a class of her own.”
Snyder also said he was impressed with freshman Alexis O’Shea, who finished 80th overall with a time of 23 minutes, 15 minutes.
