UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - After two days of competition among the nation's best, the Temple fencing team earned a 12th place finish at the NCAA Championships. Two Owls earned top-8 finishes, with senior Eva Hinds tying for seventh in sabre and sophomore Margherita Calderaro finished sixth in epee.
Calderaro's finish is the highest individual finish in program history for an epeeist, and this is the first time in program history that the Owls have earned two top-8 finishes. Temple has finished as a top-15 team for three-straight years, and this is the team's highest finish since finishing 11th in 2001.
