NEW YORK - Junior field hockey defender Dani Batze was named to the All-Big East Second-Team following an outstanding season on the pitch, the league office announced Thursday.
Batze led the the Owls' offense, recording a team-leading six goals and four game-winners. Of her 31 shots, 19 were on target for a 0.613 shot on goal percentage.
The Eden, Md., native dominated the defensive side of the ball, leading the team with five defensive saves. One of only two Owls to record a defensive save, Batze led the conference and ranked seventh in the nation.
