PHILADELPHIA— Two Owls earned American Athletic Conference weekly accolades for their outstanding efforts this past week. Junior goalkeeper Morgan Basileo was named the AAC Goalkeeper of the Week, while freshman forward Gabriela Johnson earned AAC Rookie of the Week honors for the second week in a row. Johnson was also named Under Armour/Owlsports.com Athlete of the Week.
Basileo earned a win in the Owls' fifth shutout of the season on Sunday against No. 19 USF. Basileo recorded six saves against the Bulls, keeping the juggernaut USF offense that had outscored its opponents 27-5 off the scoresheet.
