All Five Boats Make Finals as Men's Crew Races at SIRA Regatta

OAK RIDGE, Tenn. -- The Temple men's crew team was five-for-five, as the Owls made the finals in every event they entered, wrapping up day one at the 2016 Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association (SIRA) Regatta.

Temple's varsity eight recorded the fastest times of the day in both of their races. In the openeing heat, the Owls won it in 5:02.7 to advance to the semifinal. In that race, Temple outlasted Delaware, Marietta, Jacksonville, Kansas, and Georgia, recording a 6:14.8 to advance to tomorrow's final.

In varsity four racing, Temple's lightweight crew represented the Owls in a pair of races.
