ORLANDO, Fla. -- The #25/20 Temple women's basketball finished the regular season with a 66-60 win on the road at UCF, as the Owls clinched the second seed in the upcoming conference tournament. Temple improves to 23-6 overall, finishing with a 13-3 mark in conference play, while UCF dips to 19-10, 9-7 in The American, to grab the fourth seed.
Temple shot 50% or better in the first and third quarters, providing enough cushion to get by two quarters under 25% shooting. The Owls led by as many as 15 points before a fourth quarter UCF surge saw the lead shrink to just three points with 2:16 to play.
