TCU coach Gary Patterson wouldn’t mind seeing Shawn Robinson on the field more with the run package the coaches have designed for him, but also throwing.
“We need to do it more,” Patterson said after the Oklahoma loss.
The Frogs’ four-star backup quarterback entered Saturday night’s game at Oklahoma late in the second quarter for three snaps. He ran a keeper for 6 yards, handed off and made a shovel pass.
But when the three plays failed to gain a first down, the Horned Frogs punted with 1:16 left in the first half and Oklahoma scored again with seven seconds left for a 38-14 halftime lead en route to a 38-20 win.
