The three finalists for the Heisman Trophy were just announced, and for the second season in a row, Trevone Boykin was left off the ballot.
Despite throwing for 3,575 yards and 31 touchdowns, while also rushing for 612 yards and nine touchdowns, a total of 4,187 yards and 40 touchdowns, Boykin was not one of the three finalists. I'm sure his less-than-stellar performance against Oklahoma State and the two games he missed due to injury are what did him in, which is disappointing. It's especially disheartening when we consider who the three finalists are.
Derrick Henry, RB, Alabama
Henry has rushed for 1,986 yards and 23 touchdowns this season, and would be just the second Alabama player ever to win the award.
