Here are three takeaways from TCU's 79-54 loss to Kansas State in Manhattan on Wednesday night.

1. Defensive strategy backfires for TCU. TCU head coach Trent Johnson elected to go with a zone defense to defend Kansas State on the Wildcats' senior night. Essentially the Horned Frogs were daring K-State to beat them with 3-pointers.
