TCU Football fans will recognize some familiar names among the rosters of the XFL, as three former Frogs heard their name called during Tuesday’s inaugural draft.
1,000 players were made available to the eight teams making up the XFL reboot, slated to begin after the NFL season ends in January. Eight quarterbacks were assigned prior to Tuesday morning’s start, which proceeded by position after. There are five total phases, with defensive backs to complete the position draft prior to an open pool completing it. Teams have 90 seconds to make a pick.
Among Tuesday’s picks were TCU running back Kyle Hicks, who went to the Houston Defenders with the 31st pick of the skill position round.
