Less than 24 hours removed from escaping disaster against Oklahoma State, TCU basketball wasted no time Thursday afternoon in grabbing the attention of a near capacity crowd at Sprint Center against the top-seeded team in the Big 12 tournament.
But the Horned Frogs, despite attaining a 12-point first half lead over Kansas State, saw their trip to Kansas City come to an end at the final buzzer with a 70-61 loss to the Bruce Weber’s Wildcats.
The Horned Frogs benefitted early from a 3-3 start from three-point, while Kansas State started the contest shooting a mere 2-13 from the field.
