Ryan Zimmerman (Nationals), Joe Ross (Nationals), and Mike Leake (Diamondbacks) have all been confirmed to not return for the 2020 season. The Texas Collegiate League was founded in 2004, and is a way for current NCAA eligible baseball players to continue their craft in the summer, while still keeping up with NCAA regulations (unpaid playing time). The League is set up to mimic the minor league and prepare players for the future, with games played 6 days a week and MLB approved wood bats and balls.
