TCU baseball coach Jim Schlossnagle described his team's performance on Friday night as "super disappointing" and "super embarrassing."
With those harsh descriptions, a blowout might be on the mind. But the Frogs lost just 4-3 to West Virginia to open a three-game series at Lupton Stadium.
Schlossnagle's disappointment centered more on the team's sloppy start. They committed errors and didn't have the right kind of energy in digging themselves a 3-0 hole after six innings.
Sure, they battled back from the three-run deficit in the sixth, courtesy of RBI singles by Zach Humphreys and Connor Wanhanen, but that proved to be the only inning in which the Frogs scored.
