You can only imagine the impact of a rare losing season along with six weeks or so to mull it over. Or as Patterson put, spring gets a lot tougher.
"This group, one of the things that happens is they lose sight of reality," Patterson said. "Around here ... 6-7 with the bowl game is not what we want."
