Jeremiah Donati, the school’s associate vice chancellor and associate athletics director for development, will be announced Monday as the school’s new athletic director, a source familiar with the process confirmed. He replaces Chris Del Conte, who was hired Saturday as Texas’ AD.
Chancellor Victor J. Boschini Jr. is scheduled to make the official announcement at 2 p.m. on campus.
Donati came to TCU in 2011 from Leigh Steinberg Sports and Entertainment, where he had been general counsel and director of player representation.
He his previous stops include Arizona and Washington State in key fund-raising positions. Under Del Conte, TCU has raised and spent $300 million on major athletic improvements and is enjoying national success in a number of sports, including football, men’s basketball and baseball.
