TCU second baseman Cam Warner drafted by Detroit Tigers

Cam Warner is the fifth Horned Frog taken in this year’s MLB Draft, after the Detroit Tigers picked him up in the 28th round.

Warner, a senior, has spent the last two seasons at TCU after transferring from Hill College. As a senior, Warner has hit .292, with five home runs and ten stolen bases. He has a second-best 73 hits to this point in the season, and has been a solid fielder at second base this season (.980 fielding %).

Now, Warner joins Austen Wade, Evan Skoug, Brian Howard, and Mitchell Traver as the Horned Frogs drafted in the 2017 MLB Draft.
