In a move that comes as little surprise, backup QB Foster Sawyer announced his intentions to transfer from TCU Monday afternoon.
Sawyer, who was heavily recruited out of high school, signed with TCU after a stellar career at Fort Worth All Saints. After red-shirting his senior year, the 6’5” pro-style quarterback saw action when Trevone Boykin was injured in 2015 and when Kenny Hill struggled in 2016. Not a great fit for the air raid offense, Sawyer will likely look for a program thatfits his skill set better - namely a pro-style offense that takes advantage of his considerable arm strength but allows him to work out of the pocket more.
