This offseason, Kenny Hill won TCU's starting quarterback job over Foster Sawyer in camp competition.
But after a rough 3 quarters against Texas Tech, Hill was yanked in favor of Sawyer.
Hill was 16-29 for 160 yards against a Tech defense that had allowed 7 touchdowns to Baker Mayfield last week. His last pass was an interception in the end zone on a badly underthrown deep ball.
Sawyer entered in prime field position, as TCU forced a turnover on the Tech 15. His first pass was completed, and then the third quarter ended.
Sawyer will try to engineer a score to take the lead, as TCU is tied with Tech 10-10 after three quarters.
