Robinson was the highest-rated quarterback recruit Patterson ever signed. He started his high school career at Denton Guyer, a state powerhouse. He transferred to DeSoto for his senior season and led the Eagles to a 16-0 season record and the Class 6A Division II state championship. Within weeks of winning the title, he’d enrolled at TCU. The 247Sports composite ranked Robinson as the 198th best recruit in the country.
