In the opening round of the NCAA men’s tennis tournament, TCU, the #6 national seed, took down Jackson State 4-0. The Big 12 regular season and tournament champions have now won 15 consecutive matches.
The Frogs opened the match by dominating doubles’ play to win the doubles point. On Court 2, Cam Norrie and Trevor Johnson of TCU started it off by defeating the Tigers’ Federico Mendeita Ruiz and Andrey Alawi 6-1.
On Court 3, Guillermo Nuñez and Gianni Mancini secured the doubles point by taking down Jackson State’s Stylianos Gkontsaris and Vishu Prasad 6-1 as well.
