For the second straight year, the TCU men’s tennis team has swept both the Big 12 regular season and tournament titles. The Frogs defeated Texas Tech 4-0 in the Big 12 Tournament Championship for the second consecutive year to win the title. The victory gives TCU its 8th Big 12 regular season or tournament title since joining the conference, 4 of which have come from men’s tennis, the most of any sport.
The Frogs got off to a strong start in doubles, leading all 3 courts 3-1 at one point. The #33 pair in the nation, Jerry Lopez and Reese Stalder of TCU, took down Connor Curry and Bjorn Thomson, ranked #13 nationally, 6-1 on Court 1.
