Offseason quarterback battles - whether authentic or merely a matter of gamesmanship - are nothing new for Gary Patterson and TCU football. Dating back to 2015, the Horned Frogs have had three different Week 1 starters in a span of four seasons.
And the latest battle in Fort Worth is nothing shy of a real deal as TCU prepares to boast a new face under center once again come the start of the 2019 season.
Following the departure of former DeSoto High School state champion and 2018 Week 1 starting quarterback Shawn Robinson, who transferred to Missouri this offseason, at least four players could be vying for the starting job as TCU looks to get its offense back on track a tumultuous journey last fall.
