A men's basketball game between TCU and Hawaii Pacific has been canceled, TCU announced late Thursday evening.
The two teams were originally set to play at 6 p.m. Friday in Honolulu.
However, those plans were scrapped after Hawaii Pacific's Emil Isovic died Wednesday. According to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser, Isovic collapsed on the team bench during a game on Dec. 18 against Southern Nazarene and was hospitalized.
"Under the current circumstances, it was not appropriate to play the game," TCU said in a statement. "Our thoughts and prayers are with Hawaii Pacific and the basketball team at this time.
