TCU Guard Malique Trent Has Left the Program

The Frogs will be without one of their key pieces at guard for the remainder of the season, as last year’s leading scorer, Malique Trent, has left the program, as announced by Jamie Dixon Tuesday afternoon.

Trent, a 6’2” transfer out of New Mexico Junior College, averaged 11.8 points per game in his first season on campus as a sophomore and was one of the better assist men in the Big 12, dishing out just under three per contest. But under new coach Jamie Dixon, Trent’s production decreased, as he started only three games and averaged just 12 minutes per contest.
