TCU coach Gary Patterson has had three full weekends off in the past year. That’s the demands of a major college football coach with the season, recruiting or doing some sort of speaking or fundraising engagement.
So, yes, Patterson has a lot of respect and admiration for Kansas State coach Bill Snyder, who is still doing the job at age 79.
“You have to applaud him,” Patterson said. “You have to admire a man that it’s what has been his life. K-State has been his life. As an alumni, you have to appreciate his efforts to what he’s done not only for the university, but for that city, for that state.
