Despite a disappointing season that saw the Horned Frogs finish 5-7 and outside the bowl picture, TCU Football still led the Big 12 with first team All-Conference selections and had 13 players recognized overall.
Additionally, redshirt freshman Ar’Darius Washington was named Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year after leading the team with five interceptions, which was tied for the most nationally by a freshman and is the most for a first year player in the Gary Patterson era at TCU. He was also third on the team with 46 tackles.
Four defensive players were named to the first team, including tackle Ross Blacklock, cornerback Jeff Gladney, safety Trevon Moehrig, and linebacker Garret Wallow were first-team selections.
