The Big 12 released its media predictions today and, not surprisingly, the Texas Christian Horned Frogs are heavy favorites to win the conference. John Taylor of NBC Sports’ College Football Talk reported the prediction.
This will be the first year that Big 12 football has a conference champion, as controversy was stirred last season when TCU and the Baylor Bears were named co-champions despite TCU having a better overall record, but their sole loss coming at the hands of Baylor. TCU being the favorite this year, to be honest, is not surprising at all.
Not only does head coach Gary Patterson have a key returning player and Heisman Trophy candidate in senior quarterback Trevone Boykin, but also senior running back Aaron Green and senior receiver Josh Doctson.
