TCU football defensive ends Ben Banogu and L.J. Collier both earned All-Big 12 first-team honors Wednesday afternoon. The two seniors were the only Horned Frogs to earn the honors this season.
Banogu, who was named preseason Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year in July, finished the regular season with 52 total tackles -- 40 of them solo -- with 7.5 sacks, a pair of forced fumbles and one fumble-return touchdown. He started in all 12 games during the regular season for TCU.
Banogu had 10 total tackles -- his highest mark of the season -- during the Horned Frogs' 16-9 win at Baylor on Nov.
