Like just about every unit for TCU football, the Horned Frogs' secondary didn't have it easy in 2018 when it came to staying healthy from start to finish. And head coach Gary Patterson can only hope that his defense is dealt a far better hand as the page turns to a new season.
TCU won't be without a new set of challenges, as a trio of veteran safeties have since graduated this offseason. But with Jeff Gladney back in action at cornerback after a stand-out junior season last fall, Innis Gaines healthy at safety, and plenty of depth among defensive backs, a new hope may loom on the horizon for the Horned Frogs in 2019.
