TCU has likely lost strong safety Innis Gaines for the rest of the season, coach Gary Patterson said on his radio show Thursday night. Gaines will certainly not be available for Saturday’s game against Oklahoma.
Gaines exited last Thursday’s game against Texas Tech in the second half, and was seen on the sidelines tending his his left leg. Patterson refused to give an update during his news conference on Tuesday, but mentioned it during his weekly show with radio announcer Brian Estridge.
“Innis Gaines is not going to play in this ballgame,” Patterson said.
