The Frogs had some holes to fill on their bench, so Jamie Dixon reached out to a familiar face to do just that. Chris Jones, who spent five years with Pitt Basketball, including three under Jamie Dixon, is headed to Fort Worth as a graduate assistant this fall. He is joined by another former college basketball player, David Vogel, who heads to Fort Worth from DePauw.
Jones was a crucial piece for the Panthers, appearing in 129 games across four seasons for Pitt. The 6’6” G/F averaged 2.3 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.5 steals in nearly 22 minutes per game, establishing himself as a hard-nosed defender and glue guy for a team that won a lot of games during his time there.
