The Horned Frogs (14-11, 3-3 in the Big 12) have lost four in a row going into a three-game series beginning Friday against Oklahoma at Lupton Stadium.
The No. 19 Sooners (21-10, 6-0) are off to a fast start in conference.
TCU has two losing streaks of at least three games in 2018, something the Frogs hadn't done once since 2014.
The 2014 Frogs were 15-11 and 2-4 in the Big 12 before winning 20 of their next 21 and eventually reached the College World Series.
