This was a must-win series for the Horned Frogs, who have been hanging by the slimmest of margins when it comes to the postseason. But after dropping the second game Saturday against Baylor, TCU’s likely only road to the Field of 64 will come via winning the Big 12 Tournament.
The Frogs fell behind 6-0 for the second consecutive game, as Baylor scored in four consecutive innings, starting with the third. It was a three run fourth that chased starter Sean Wymer, as Shea Langeliers homered for the second consecutive game to lead off the frame. Wymer allowed a pair of doubles around a fly out, and following that, a single and a sac fly made it a 4-0 ball game.
