Grand Canyon rallied for three runs in the bottom of the 12th inning to outlast No. 3 TCU 9-8 Sunday afternoon in a baseball game in Phoenix.
TCU (2-1), which trailed 6-1 through five innings before coming back to force extra innings, scored two runs in the top of the 12th to grab an 8-6 lead. After three walks loaded the bases, Zach Humphreys hit a tie-breaking single to left. Adam Oviedo then drew a bases-loaded walk to force in another run.
But Grand Canyon (1-2) took advantage of two costly errors in the bottom of the inning to pull out the victory.
