TCU baseball blanked Abilene Christian 4-0 Tuesday night at Crutcher Scott Field in Abilene.
Left-hander Russell Smith held ACU scoreless on five hits over 4 2/3 innings. Caleb Sloan took over and threw 2 1/3 scoreless innings of relief. Augie Mihlbauer and Cal Coughlin each tossed a scoreless innings. Only two ACU base runners reached third base. It's the second shutout by TCU pitching this season.
The Horned Frogs (23-18) scored twice in the third and added runs in the fourth and sixth. Josh Watson, A.J. Balta, Conner Shepherd and Coby Boulware each had RBIs.
