FORT WORTH - The normally reliable jumper wasn't falling for TCU's Desmond Bane so he went to the rim in the second half.
After two high-degree-of-difficulty drives and finishes, Bane and TCU (14-4, 3-3 Big 12) had a 65-61 win.
Bane's mini-burst, including a highlight-worthy reverse layup over Texas' 6-11 freshman Jaxson Hayes, gave TCU a 62-54 lead.
"Two years ago, I would have been shaking in my shoes in that game," Bane said. "But I have been through it for three years now."
Kouat Noi, who missed TCU's loss at Kansas State with an illness, bounced back with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
